Building smaller full-colour displays

The company grows pyramidal LED structures without the etching step used in other manufacturing approaches. Its architecture brings the three display colours onto one wafer, targeting bright displays that consume little power. Initial applications are small, purpose-built head-up displays.

Funding the first product launches

J2L Holding AB led the financing, joined by STOAF, Almi Invest and Butterfly Ventures. The company described the amount as more than €5 million and plans to use it for initial product rollout. Nordic9 reported the financing on January 2; the company issued its fuller announcement on January 12.
