Planted raises $31.8M to expand autonomous solar construction

Solar construction for uneven ground

Planted combines site-planning software, high-density solar arrays, energy storage and field robotics for developers, independent power producers and enterprise energy buyers. Its arrays follow terrain and its robots install components on slopes of up to 27% without grading, reducing site preparation while opening more parcels to utility-scale solar. The company says Sage, its next-generation field robot, will support deployment of the system.
