ParkMundo raises €2.3M to expand airport parking distribution

The bootstrapped Dutch travel business is taking external capital to develop its technology and reach travellers through airlines and booking platforms.

ParkMundo announced €2.3 million in seed funding on 13 October, its first external capital after more than a decade of self-funded growth. Technology and travel-sector angels provided backing, alongside additional financing through Rabobank. The announcement does not break down the financing terms.

The company plans to invest in its technology and expand distribution through travel partners. It has also added marketplace and aviation experience to its board through Treatwell founder Jan-Willem van Boeckel and former Transavia and Sunweb executive Mattijs ten Brink.

For ParkMundo, the next step is to sell airport parking within the flight and holiday booking journey, complementing its direct consumer business. That gives parking operators access to travel demand beyond their own websites.
