Open Cosmos raises €300 million to expand satellite manufacturing and services
The UK space company combines spacecraft production with shared Earth-observation and connectivity platforms.
Satellite capacity linked to customer services
Open Cosmos designs, builds, launches and operates satellite missions, then makes Earth-observation data available through its OpenConstellation network. The shared model gives organisations access to imagery and mission services without requiring each customer to develop and operate its own spacecraft.
Its DataCosmos platform brings imagery search, satellite tasking and geospatial analysis into one workflow, while ConnectedCosmos is being developed for low-orbit communications. The company says its planned manufacturing expansion will support production of up to one satellite a day, connecting factory capacity to a broader set of observation and connectivity services.
