From spacecraft to usable data
Through OpenOrbit, Open Cosmos designs, builds, launches and operates satellite missions. Its OpenConstellation offers organisations shared access to satellite observations, reducing the cost and complexity of obtaining imagery and mission services. This lets customers that need Earth data use satellite infrastructure without building and operating an entire mission themselves.
Platforms for observation and connectivity
DataCosmos lets enterprise, government and other customers search imagery, request new satellite tasking, visualize geospatial data, run analysis and connect data to GIS or analytics systems. The company also develops ConnectedCosmos, a low-Earth-orbit communications network designed to combine satellite-to-satellite links, broadband and direct-to-device IoT. The September funding announcement says the investment will expand satellite manufacturing and accelerate these services; some constellation capabilities remain in deployment.
