O-ID raises $1 million in pre-seed financing
The Tokyo startup is developing repairable modular humanoid robots for manufacturing and logistics environments.
Modular robots designed for industrial service
O-ID's prototype humanoid is built around replaceable modules, allowing parts to be customized or swapped during servicing. The company has outlined tasks including warehouse case picking, factory assembly and inspection in hazardous or confined areas. It plans factory pilots in 2027, with its modular design aimed at helping operators adapt robots to changing tasks and keep them in service.
