Neptune Robotics raises $52m Series B for global hull-cleaning expansion

Granite Asia leads the round, with NYK Line joining as a strategic investor and fleet deployment partner.

Neptune Robotics announced a $52 million Series B on September 29, 2025, led by Granite Asia. Shipping group NYK Line also invested as the companies expanded their partnership to deploy robotic hull cleaning across NYK’s fleet.

The Singapore-based company will use the funding for research, new robotic systems, software and expansion into 20 markets. Its underwater robots remove marine growth from ships, helping operators reduce fuel consumption while keeping divers out of hazardous cleaning work.

NYK has used Neptune’s technology since 2022. The new agreement connects Neptune’s expansion with a major shipping customer, providing a route to deploy its service across more vessels and ports.
