MucoLife receives SEK 200,000 grant for nebulizer development planning
The Vinnova award supports a technical and regulatory roadmap for delivering investigational MLT-001 in healthcare and emergency settings.
MucoLife Therapeutics has received SEK 200,000 from Vinnova through the Medtech4Health programme to plan a sustainable nebulization device for its inhaled therapy candidate MLT-001. The company announced the award on May 18, 2026.
The project will bring in external expertise on nebulization, drug-device compatibility, regulatory requirements and sustainable product development. It aims to produce a roadmap for a device suited to routine healthcare and potential emergency use.
MLT-001 is being developed to dissolve pathological mucus plugs in the lungs. The grant supports development planning ahead of future prototype work.
