Mistral AI raises €1.7 billion Series C led by ASML
The financing values Mistral at €11.7 billion and links its research programme with ASML’s semiconductor expertise.
Mistral AI announced a €1.7 billion Series C on September 9, 2025, led by semiconductor equipment maker ASML. The round gave the company an €11.7 billion post-money valuation.
Existing investors DST Global, Andreessen Horowitz (a16z), Bpifrance, General Catalyst, Index Ventures, Lightspeed and NVIDIA also participated.
The capital will support scientific research and AI solutions for engineering and industrial applications. Alongside the investment, ASML and Mistral agreed to explore AI across semiconductor products, research and operations.
ASML committed €1.3 billion and said it would hold approximately 11% of Mistral on a fully diluted basis.
