Melius discloses $5m seed round led by General Catalyst
The seed was announced alongside a separate $20m Series A, bringing total disclosed funding to $25m.
Melius disclosed a $5 million seed round led by General Catalyst on October 6, alongside a separate $20 million Series A led by CRV. Together, the two rounds account for the company’s $25 million funding announcement.
The capital is intended to expand the team, build its go-to-market and sales organization and develop its creative-agent platform. The New York company had shifted away from a performance-marketing tool toward software for producing creative work.
Melius also named Genius Ventures, Vine Ventures and Anti Fund in the overall funding announcement, without allocating their participation between the two rounds. The company said it crossed a seven-figure annualized run rate within three months of introducing its creative workspace.
