Mach9 raises $34m Series A for AI-assisted civil engineering

First Round Capital and Bessemer Venture Partners co-led financing for the survey-to-CAD software company.

Mach9 has announced a $34 million Series A co-led by First Round Capital and Bessemer Venture Partners. Prudence and existing investor Quiet Capital also participated in the round, announced on 21 October 2026.

The company plans to improve its product, hire industry specialists and expand its operations. Its private beta has attracted nearly 100 customers, whose work spans more than 2,500 projects, chief executive Alex Baikovitz told TechCrunch.

Mach9’s move from capture hardware into software followed customer feedback that turning scans into usable drawings was the bigger constraint. The platform prepares survey geometry from laser and image data, while engineers review and refine the output before taking responsibility for the final deliverable.
