Intero Biosystems closes $2 million pre-seed round
The June 2025 financing supports human intestinal organoid research.
Intero Biosystems announced a closed $2 million pre-seed round on June 11, 2025. Investors included Kalamazoo Forward Ventures, Evoce Capital, Goose Capital, Nancy Chang, Canyon Oak Ventures and several Michigan investment funds and angel networks.
The University of Michigan spinout develops miniature human intestinal tissues for preclinical drug testing. It planned to scale production, further validate clinical predictability and build disease models for pharmaceutical partnerships.
