ALLOX

Spain · Biotech · AI

ALLOX combines high-throughput genetics, experimental biology and AI to find functional sites on proteins and develop targeted small-molecule medicines.

Product

ALLOX is a Barcelona biotechnology company developing medicines against protein targets that are difficult to address with conventional drug discovery. Its platform measures how thousands of genetic mutations affect protein function, folding and interactions, then uses those results to identify sites that small molecules could target.

The approach combines experimental datasets with proprietary AI models. It maps allosteric and other regulatory regions, including potential binding pockets, to help design compounds that change how a protein behaves. Protein-protein interactions and transcription factors are among its areas of focus.

Led by co-founder and CEO Júlia Domingo, ALLOX is advancing its own small-molecule programmes and pursuing research collaborations with pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. The business operates under the legal name Allostery Exploration Technologies S.L.
