Lakestar and Creandum backed the company in 2024; the founders announced the financing alongside its September 2025 public launch.
Instruct disclosed $3.4 million in funding from Lakestar and Creandum when it publicly launched on September 24, 2025. Founder Matt Falconer said the money had been raised privately the previous year.
The platform lets business users create AI agents by describing a task in plain language and connecting their applications. The agents can then perform work across those tools, offering an alternative to manually configuring each automation step.
Co-founder Alfie Ranstead describes Instruct as operating alongside Ares Intelligence. The two businesses share founders but address different parts of enterprise AI adoption.
