ImVisionLabs receives research grant for spatial-recognition AI

The award supports point-cloud foundation models for interpreting three-dimensional environments.

ImVisionLabs has been selected for a research and development grant by the Mitsubishi UFJ Technology Development Foundation. The project focuses on point-cloud foundation models for general spatial-recognition AI.

The research extends its work turning laser measurements into classified objects and usable models. A more general approach to interpreting 3D scenes could support the forestry, agricultural and infrastructure applications the company already develops for customers.
