Greptile raises $50m Series B to automate code validation
Menlo Ventures led the round at a $750m valuation as Greptile expands the review and testing of software changes.
Greptile announced a $50 million Series B on October 19, led by Menlo Ventures. Jump Trading, Wing, Operator Collective, Benchmark, Y Combinator, Browder Capital and Initialized participated. Menlo’s Deedy Das is joining the board.
The financing values Greptile at $750 million. The company wants to automate more of the checks that determine whether software changes work correctly and can be merged safely, as coding agents increase the volume of code that engineering teams need to validate.
Greptile says it reviews and tests more than 1% of the pull requests opened on GitHub each day. It describes its role as an independent validation layer for teams using multiple coding agents, and is recruiting people to develop that capability further.
