Giraffe Bio raises $6.4 million for copper-recovery reagents

Giraffe Bio announced a $6.4 million seed round on October 13, joined by BHP Ventures, Twynam, Air Capital and Baruch Future Ventures.

The funding will expand manufacturing, industrial pilots and research capacity. Its biochemical reagents are designed to improve copper recovery from complex ores using existing mineral-processing equipment.
