Ghost raises $11 million seed to build the Core personal AI computer
Andreessen Horowitz led the backing for Zain Javaid’s hardware business as it opened its first product batch.
Ghost founder Zain Javaid announced $11 million in backing to build Core on 5 October 2026. Andreessen Horowitz led the seed round, joined by Abstract, Audacious Ventures, SV Angel, Nova and individual investors.
The launch links the financing directly to a physical product: Ghost opened its first batch of Core orders alongside the announcement. Its proposition is a dedicated machine that keeps an agent running and develops context from the user’s existing tools and devices.
The business sells the hardware without a subscription. That places ownership of the computer, rather than access to a recurring cloud service, at the centre of its commercial model.
