Fusionality secures CHF3m pre-seed for fusion-device control systems
The Swiss startup is developing reusable diagnostics, data and control technology for teams building magnetic-confinement fusion devices.
Operational technology for fusion teams
Fusionality builds hardware and software that helps fusion operators measure plasma conditions, interpret the data and control device systems in real time. Its work connects diagnostics and data pipelines with heating, fuel and magnet controls, using modelling and control methods to help teams respond to a changing plasma state.
The CHF3 million pre-seed will support integrated operations infrastructure for fusion devices. By developing reusable, validated components from experience at EPFL’s Swiss Plasma Center, Fusionality aims to reduce the amount of diagnostics and control engineering that each fusion programme must build from scratch.
