Fusionality supplies integrated diagnostics, controls and data systems to fusion companies and research laboratories. It combines plasma-physics and control expertise with real-time measurement hardware and software so teams can interpret device behaviour and adjust heating, fuel and other actuators during experiments.
Fusion teams need to measure plasma behaviour, interpret it quickly and control the device through actuators in real time. Fusionality works alongside those teams to build or adapt diagnostics and data pipelines, connect them to control systems, and apply plasma and plant simulations, control theory and AI or machine-learning methods where useful.
The company’s operating technology draws on experience with real fusion devices, including tokamaks. Its aim is to provide reusable, validated components and expertise so each fusion builder does not need to recreate every control and data capability from scratch.
Its customers are fusion companies and publicly funded programmes developing magnetic-confinement devices, including research labs and commercial reactor builders. After raising a CHF 3 million pre-seed round in September 2026, Fusionality remained an early-stage provider building from EPFL Swiss Plasma Center expertise; its product category is specialist operational technology for the fusion-energy sector.
