Funds receives ¥300m venture-debt loan from Fivot

The Flex Capital financing supports the Japanese direct-finance group as it broadens its business across financial services.

Funds has received a ¥300 million venture-debt loan from Fivot through its Flex Capital financing business. Fivot announced the executed loan on August 28, 2026.

Expanding the business

The lender cited Funds’ operating track record and business structure in its decision. Funds has expanded beyond its original platform into activities including startup venture debt and a Taiwan operation following its acquisition of AMFC.

Funds’ core service connects individual investors with companies seeking finance. It has developed a group spanning several financial activities, creating a borrowing need that differs from the funding arranged for companies through its platform.

For Funds, the debt provides financing without a new equity allotment. Chief executive Yuichiro Fujita said the lender had worked to understand the group’s diversified business structure and provide a flexible source of capital.
