Eterna Regeneratives raises $4m seed round for enamel and bone regeneration platform
The London biotech is developing keratin-based materials that guide mineral growth for early oral-care and bone applications.
Guiding the body’s mineralisation process
Eterna Regeneratives is developing biomaterials from keratin, a structural protein found in hair, skin and wool. Its material is designed to provide a scaffold that attracts calcium and phosphate and guides apatite growth along damaged enamel, using the body’s own chemistry to rebuild mineral structure.
Moving from research toward products
The company is also developing a keratin membrane for bone regeneration. Its first commercial focus is oral care, and the seed financing will advance the platform and move enamel repair toward commercialisation while expanding research and commercial teams and building partnerships. The work remains in development, based on biomineralisation research from King’s College London.
