Estuary Biotherapeutics unveils $93m Series A for kidney gene therapies
RA Capital leads the round as Estuary prepares two ADPKD candidates for clinical trials planned for 2027 and 2028.
Separating the launch total from the new round
Estuary’s October 16 launch announcement disclosed $103 million in total committed financing: the $93 million Series A and an earlier $10 million Seed round. Seed co-leads 4BIO Capital and GV also joined the Series A. The company did not specify the Seed closing date in the announcement.
Two planned clinical milestones
EST-201 is expected to enter clinical testing in 2027, followed by EST-101 in 2028. The programs address different genetic forms of inherited polycystic kidney disease. These are development targets: the supporting disease-reversal research cited at launch comes from mouse studies, and patient benefit remains to be demonstrated.
