Entity raises €5m Seed for a browser gaming platform

The Dublin startup brings the former DIGIT leadership team back together around game distribution, with a launch lineup planned to combine established titles and original releases.

A new platform from the DIGIT founders

Entity’s founding team previously built DIGIT, the studio behind Star Trek Fleet Command that Scopely acquired in 2019. Rich Barnwell, Kev Bergin, Dave McGovern, Fergus Duggan and Artur Stawiarski are now applying that experience to a distribution business serving other game makers.

The company’s announcement sets out a planned lineup spanning existing PC and console games and original titles. Its developer programme is initially seeking a curated group of games suited to browser technology, with development funding and marketing support among the proposed incentives. The catalogue remains a launch plan, rather than an already available service.

Use of funds

Develop the browser gaming platform and support its planned 2027 launch.
