Princeville Climate Technology backs Enpal’s solar subscription model
The climate fund brought capital and growth experience to the German residential solar company in November 2020.
Enpal announced an investment from Princeville Climate Technology on November 11, 2020. The company planned to use the capital and the investor’s expertise to develop new business areas. Financial terms were not disclosed.
At the time, Enpal offered rooftop solar through a subscription, handling advice, planning and installation so homeowners could adopt solar without paying the full installation cost upfront. Princeville’s investment supported that operating business; Enpal also used separate bank refinancing to fund customer systems.
Leonardo DiCaprio was an adviser to Princeville Climate Technology. The announcement named the fund as the investor.
