Endeavor Catalyst closes $320 million Fund V
The oversubscribed fifth fund will co-invest in Endeavor-backed entrepreneurs across underserved venture markets.
Endeavor Catalyst announced the final close of its fifth fund at $320 million on October 7. The oversubscribed vehicle brings the manager’s assets under management to more than $850 million across its funds.
Named limited partners include Reid Hoffman, Bill Ackman and Prosus. Jordan’s Innovative Startups and SMEs Fund also committed $7 million through its Fund II programme and is among Fund V’s lead limited partners. The fund’s backers include entrepreneurs who have built companies within Endeavor’s global network.
Fund V plans to invest in up to 150 companies, with initial cheques of $1 million to $3 million. It follows Endeavor Catalyst’s rules-based approach: backing selected Endeavor Entrepreneurs alongside institutional investors, generally accounting for around 10% of a financing round. The strategy directs capital towards growing businesses in markets beyond the largest venture hubs.
