Encoded Therapeutics raises $275m Series F for genetic medicines
GV and another healthcare fund co-led the round to advance ETX101 in Dravet syndrome and progress the company’s wider pipeline.
A gene therapy program for Dravet syndrome
Encoded’s vector-engineering platform is designed to control gene expression in selected cell types in the brain and peripheral nervous system. Its lead candidate, ETX101, aims to increase SCN1A expression and is being developed as a one-time treatment for SCN1A-positive Dravet syndrome.
The company is advancing ETX101 through pivotal and age-expansion studies and plans to scale internal GMP manufacturing. The financing will also support ETX301 toward a planned 2027 investigational-new-drug submission for post-amputation neuroma pain; both candidates remain investigational.
Use of funds
