Ed.ai raises a €5 million seed round to expand its AI teaching assistant
The Lyon education company helps teachers assess work and identify individual learning gaps.
An AI assistant for marking and remediation
A teacher can submit an exam as a photo or file, then review an editable rubric that Ed.ai generates around the questions and skills being assessed. During marking, the assistant proposes evaluations with explanations and surfaces student-specific gaps for follow-up; teachers retain control over grades and feedback.
The company reported that its software was correcting 2,500 copies a day across ten subjects by June 2026. By the beginning of the school year, it said the platform was deployed in 500 French schools and available against US curricula in all 50 states, giving the funding a product already operating across two education systems to build on.
