EcoNomad Solutions secures £400,000 funding package
British Design Fund invests £230,000 alongside an Innovate UK grant and support from Beeches Group.
EcoNomad has installed its technology on more than ten UK farms, with additional deployments in Africa. Those sites give the company a base for refining a product aimed at livestock businesses too small to justify conventional anaerobic-digestion plants.
Founder Ilan Adler developed the idea after working with decentralised waste-to-energy systems in Latin America and adapting the concept for UK conditions. The commercial challenge is to make installation and daily operation simple enough for farmers to manage alongside their core work.
