Depotcharge closes a €2.7 million pre-seed round for shared truck charging
The network turns unused charging points at logistics depots into bookable sites for electric-truck fleets.
An association-backed charging network
Depotcharge’s partnership with Germany’s freight association BGL gives its shared-charging model an industry-wide route to market. Through BGL Charge, members can open their depot sites to other fleets; more than 200 companies with around 600 electric trucks were already registered when the round was announced.
A model tested across two markets
The German network follows Depotcharge’s earlier work with Switzerland’s ASTAG transport association, which began building a national depot-charging network in May 2026. E.L.V.I.S., a freight purchasing cooperative with more than 250 partner companies, is also bringing its members into BGL Charge, connecting independent depot owners to a broader pool of fleet demand.
