Deneb Medical secures €14.7m capital increase to bring spine-surgery robot to market
The Spanish company will advance IZAR, a surgical platform combining robotic guidance, imaging and laser-assisted tissue treatment.
Planning and guidance in one spine-surgery system
Deneb Medical’s IZAR platform is designed to help surgeons plan screw trajectories before an operation, register the patient using imaging and guide screw placement robotically in the operating room. Its navigated laser module can also perform planned tissue decompression, bringing several steps of spine surgery into one system.
A €14.7 million capital increase will fund development and market launch; Spain’s SETT is investing €7.2 million as part of the financing. The investment supports the next phase for IZAR as Deneb advances the platform toward use by spine surgeons and hospitals.
