Daptic raises $15 million Series A led by Canvas Ventures

The company brings regulatory requirements into manufacturing design decisions before expensive choices become difficult to change.

IA Ventures and 8VC also participated, bringing Daptic’s cumulative funding to $22 million. Canvas co-founder Rebecca Lynn and IA Ventures co-founder Brad Gillespie will join the board. Honda is among the manufacturers using the platform for complex physical products.

Daptic turns published regulations into requirements that engineers and other product teams can review and work against. Source links and a record of interpretation connect each requirement to its regulatory basis; customer specialists retain control over decisions as products move across designs and markets.
