Nikon spinout Cross Sector completes Series A for construction sensors

Animal Spirits 26 Fund leads the round as Cross Sector expands production of its Frame Finder measurement system.

Cross Sector has completed a Series A round led by Animal Spirits 26 Fund. The Nikon spinout announced the financing on 22 October without disclosing the amount allocated to this round.

The company develops Frame Finder, which uses sensors and cloud records to track changes in steel-column positions during construction. The funding will first support sensor production, followed by team expansion and development of automated column-adjustment mechanisms.

Cross Sector also disclosed ¥770 million in total funding from its seed stage through Series A, including bank loans. That figure covers its financing history rather than the new round alone.
