Nikon spinout developing sensors and cloud software to measure steel-column movement and support construction quality control.
Product
Cross Sector helps construction teams monitor steel-column positions during assembly. Its Frame Finder service uses sensors to measure changes after an initial survey, then saves the results to the cloud for site teams and managers.
The system supports repeated checks during alignment, fastening and welding. Connecting measurement with digital records reduces the manual work of recording and reviewing results across a construction project.
Established in March 2025 as Nikon’s first spinout, the Machida-based company commercialises precision-measurement technology for construction. It is expanding sensor production and developing mechanisms for automated column adjustment, with further applications in infrastructure monitoring.
