Coherence Quantum raises €2.78m seed for cryogenic quantum hardware
Lifeline Ventures led the round, with technology entrepreneur Mårten Mickos participating.
The Finnish Aalto University spinout will put the funding into an Espoo laboratory, initial products and manufacturing capabilities. The team has already tested several generations of cryogenic prototypes using qubit systems.
Quantum processors need more control and readout connections as qubit counts rise, but refrigerator space and cooling capacity remain constrained. Coherence Quantum is starting with signal conditioning and developing denser interfaces, aiming to keep those infrastructure demands from growing in step with processor size.
