CesiumAstro secures $200M debt package for Texas manufacturing
EXIM and J.P. Morgan financing will support a new satellite manufacturing facility near Austin.
CesiumAstro announced a $200 million debt financing package on January 15, 2026, comprising a $185 million EXIM-authorized facility and a $15 million revolving credit facility from J.P. Morgan.
The financing supports the acquisition of a 270,000-square-foot facility in West Austin for satellite and communications manufacturing. Operations were expected to begin in the first quarter of 2027, bringing design, assembly and testing into an expanded production site.
CesiumAstro develops satellites, communications payloads and computing systems for commercial and defense missions. The package falls under EXIM’s Make More in America initiative, which supports domestic manufacturing. The announced amounts describe the financing facilities; the company did not report that the full amount had been drawn.
