CareTech Human secures Launch NY backing for pre-seed financing
Launch NY’s two seed funds invest $175,000 as the home health-monitoring startup moves toward commercial production.
CareTech Human secured $175,000 from Launch NY’s nonprofit seed fund and LaunchNY Seed Fund II, with the investment announced on May 29, 2024. The nonprofit fund contributed $75,000 and Seed Fund II contributed $100,000. The money supports manufacturing and the company’s move into commercial production.
The company confirmed the completion of its Launch NY-led pre-seed round in August 2024. Urologic oncologist John A. Freeman participated alongside other individual angels. CareTech Human develops a toilet-integrated device that captures urinary health measurements at home, helping clinicians monitor patients between appointments.
