Breye’s €4m Seed financed early retinal therapy development

Novo Holdings and Sound Bioventures co-led the November 2022 seed financing.

Breye Therapeutics announced a €4 million Seed financing on 10 November 2022, co-led by Novo Holdings and Sound Bioventures. The Danish company emerged from stealth with plans to develop oral treatments for retinal diseases.

At the time, Breye said the capital would advance its lead candidate into Phase 1b, progress a second molecule and strengthen its scientific team. The company subsequently announced a separate €67.5 million Series A in September 2026.
