Aptadir raises €40 million Seed to advance RNA therapeutics
Its DiR platform is designed to reactivate genes silenced by DNA methylation in disease.
Targeted RNA against gene silencing
Aptadir’s aptaDiR molecules bind and inhibit DNMT1. Its captaDiR design adds a gene-specific sequence to direct the inhibitor toward a selected locus, with the aim of restoring expression of genes silenced in disease.
A pipeline led by Fragile X syndrome
The lead investigational program, CAP1-FMR1, targets Fragile X syndrome, where the FMR1 gene is silenced. The company is advancing this and other rare-disease and cancer programs at the preclinical stage.
