AOI Biosciences adds investors in a mixed financing transaction
The Osaka biotech combined a new share issue with a secondary share transfer as it advances antibody diagnostics and drug discovery.
Diagnostics alongside drug discovery
AOI Biosciences develops NeoSelf antibody tests, including a β2GPI test used in care for infertility and recurrent pregnancy loss. More than 300 medical institutions in Japan use the test, and the company says it is expanding across Asia. Its separate drug-discovery work with Toshiba applies quantum-inspired analysis to search for allosteric sites that could influence protein activity beyond conventional binding locations.
