AOI Biosciences wins JPY2m research grant for autoimmune drug platform
Ikeda Senshu Bank’s innovation award backs development of an antibody platform targeting neoself antigens.
AOI Biosciences has been awarded JPY2 million under Ikeda Senshu Bank’s 22nd Innovation Research and Development Grant programme. The bank announced the selection on March 2.
The excellence award recognises a platform for developing autoimmune-disease treatments using antibodies against neoself antigens. The project extends AOI Biosciences’ work in molecular recognition, which also underpins its antibody-testing technology.
The Osaka-based biotechnology company develops antibody diagnostics and drug-discovery methods. The research grant is distinct from its later equity financing and supports the selected development project.
