A5X raises R$360m Series D to prepare Brazil derivatives exchange for 2027 launch
The financing backs the regulatory and operating build-out of a new Brazilian venue for derivatives trading and clearing.
A market infrastructure build
A5X is building a derivatives exchange and clearing house for banks, brokers, market makers and other participants in Brazil. Its platform pairs LSEG trading and clearing technology with proprietary systems tailored to Brazilian products and regulatory requirements.
Capital through launch
The company says it plans to launch in the first half of 2027. The new capital is intended to fund the regulatory and operating work needed to bring the venue online and support its first years, a substantial build for a business whose product must coordinate trading with post-trade risk and settlement processes.
