Suniva

United States · Climate tech

Suniva manufactures silicon solar cells for module makers building US solar supply chains.

Product

Its high-efficiency monocrystalline cells are the electricity-producing components that manufacturers assemble into solar modules. Domestic cell production gives module makers a US source for this part of the supply chain.

The company operates a 1 GW plant in Norcross, Georgia. Its planned Laurens County, South Carolina, factory would add 4.5 GW; completion is scheduled for late 2027, with full production expected in 2028.
