Salience Labs develops silicon photonic switches for datacenter operators connecting large AI computing clusters.
Keeping network traffic optical
Salience Labs builds optical circuit switches that route light between fiber connections. Its approach avoids the optical-to-electrical conversion required inside conventional electronic switches, addressing the power and latency costs of moving data through AI infrastructure.
Modules for datacenter systems
The OC-32M combines a photonic chip for switching and amplification with control electronics, firmware and standard fiber connectors. It offers 32 input and 32 output fibers, with reconfiguration intended to reallocate bandwidth as workloads change. A rack-mounted evaluation platform lets customers assess the technology before system integration.
