Optical interconnect technology for moving data between AI and data-center systems with lower power consumption.
Polaris integrates its FenGlass electro-optic material into silicon photonics after wafer fabrication. The resulting modulators are designed to carry data at 400 gigabits per second per lane and beyond while operating at sub-volt drive levels, reducing the electrical power needed to move information.
The company works with module makers, hyperscalers and system integrators on optical links for AI infrastructure. Its first commercial product launch is planned for 2027; engineering work includes qualification and integration with established silicon-photonics manufacturing processes.
