Photography Based Therapeutics develops an application that lets young people create and alter images to represent how they feel. Its work combines photography, augmented-reality editing and generative AI, including image creation where taking photographs is impractical.
The application is being co-designed with neurodivergent young people and mental health clinicians. The company leads an Innovate UK-funded collaboration with the University of Surrey, rb&hArts and AI By Design to develop and research the approach.
