Ona Therapeutics develops cancer treatments aimed at tumours that resist existing therapies. The Barcelona biotech uses research on patient-derived disease biology to identify targets for antibody-drug conjugates and other antibody-based treatments.
Its approach combines target discovery with antibody engineering. Antibody-drug conjugates pair a targeting antibody with a therapeutic payload, with the aim of delivering treatment to cancer cells.
The company’s pipeline includes ONA-255 for breast cancer and other solid tumours, and ONA-389 for solid tumours. Ona was founded in 2019 as a spinout from ICREA and the Institute for Research in Biomedicine in Barcelona.
