Nous Research builds Hermes, an open-source agent available on desktop, in a terminal or through messaging tools. Users choose the model provider and whether to run the agent locally or use hosted services.
Hermes retains conversations, project knowledge and skills between sessions. Its tools include web browsing, scheduled tasks and isolated execution environments, allowing a returning user to continue a workflow with the context accumulated earlier.
