MAASH
Belgium · Foodtech
MAASH makes fermentation-derived mycoprotein ingredients for food manufacturers developing meat blends and alternative-protein products.
A fungal ingredient for food formulation
MAASH grows filamentous fungi through submerged fermentation, then processes the resulting biomass into its LoCylia protein ingredient. Food formulators can incorporate it into hybrid products that combine animal and alternative proteins, adjusting texture and protein content within an existing recipe.
The company develops its fermentation process at its Brussels laboratory and pilot facilities. Its LoCylia range addresses food and pet-food applications, and manufacturers can request samples for formulation work. Industrial expansion is centred on the former Metex site at Carling-Saint-Avold in France.
