GreenIron recovers metals from oxidised industrial residues using hydrogen-based reduction.

Return steelmaking residues to production

GreenIron uses hydrogen to remove oxygen from metal oxides and recover metal for industrial reuse. Its initial focus is mill scale and other by-products from steelmaking, giving producers a way to return their own residues to the production process.

The company uses a modular, batch-based furnace design that can be deployed close to industrial sites. Its process is intended to accommodate different feedstocks and avoid the fossil reductants used in conventional reduction.
